Part 2... Woohoo

Starting off with Malindo, turning onto the runway via Taxiway Bravo.

And we have surprise for the session, and A320 family with exit doors on the fore and aft of the wing. This is a daily flight to Guangzhou, but what interests me the most is that this time, they sent an A321.

Nowadays I see more and more of Fedex's 767 than their MD11s. I guess that they are slowly phasing them out?

Head on with the A321. From this angle, it would look like an ordinary A320.

China Southern Airlines A321-211 (B-6685)

Saw a chopper flying in on the opposite side of the runway. Lucky enough to have it in the same frame as this ATR.

Firefly ATR72-500 (9M-FYJ)

When a chopper comes in, the camera starts snapping. The chopper approached the runway, then banked towards the taxiway for a smooth low altitude flight along Taxiway Alpha before touching down in front of the ATC tower.

Welcome back, here are the stories. Still raining, and will still be raining to the end of the spotting trip

I was rather hoping that the rain would stop and the sun would shine for this beauty, but the clouds were there and showed no signs of breaking up. Well I was already set up for spotting in the rain, so the snapping ensues.

No matter how small, they were all capable of handling the crosswind. The next heavy was unexpected. Happy to see it nevertheless.

And to end it (again) was SilkAir's B737-800 with the 25-Year Anniversary markings.

One new experience, seeing wipers of Boeings and Airbuses in action.

2014.02.22 Spotting Session Part 2

Let's carry on to the second part of this spotting session. Allow me to continue with the main catch of the day. Presenting, SilkAir's VERY FIRST B737-800 in 25-years anniversary scheme. The will be getting more of these types to replace their Airbus A320s and A319s.

9V-MGA

Wanted to get Silkair's departure at the industrial zone. Unfortunately during my drive to that location, I missed Garuda's CRK coming in.

Anyway, here's MAS's 734 going up.

Then this Eva Air Cargo came along. It has been delayed for a long time as this aircraft is usually scheduled to depart at about 10am.

Just as I was about to end my planespotting session, another aircraft came in. Just FYI.
