Was waiting around when I heard the powering up of the engines of the 737. Looked sideways and there I saw Malindo's 738 doing a go-around. Looks like they were unable to hit the touchdown point as they were quite high as they passed the runway threshold.

It was now approaching 7pm, and that means it's arrival time for Dragonair's 330. Did not want to really boost the ISO then, so here's the dark shot.

An Impromptu Spotting Session

This was an impromptu spotting session sometime in the evening. The timing was right, the camera was available and thus .... *click click click.

Let's start with Cathay's Queen of the skies.

I see something like a patch work above the "everyone" word

A back lit photo, or rather a back-of-the-plane-lit-photo

Hong Kong Airlines A320-214 (B-LPG)

This was a greater outcome than the previous shot which came in late on a cloudy day. This one was on time and had great lighting. The Red,Orange,Yellow just shoots out and adds that tinge to this shot.

A great way to end 2013

T'is a season to go spotting. And what greater way to end 2013 than to head out to the airport for a few hours of spotting. Lighting could have been better though. The clouds act as a GIANT light diffuser providing not so direct light as well as backlighting. Let's start.

AirAsia A320 (9M-AQH) - Air Asia's 100th awesome plane came in twice. Must be doing a PEN-KUL-PEN-KUL sector

Cathay Pacific Cargo B747-467F (B-HUP) gracefully descending towards the runway

And here we see Cathay backtracking on the Runway.

And finally, caught this Airbus with Sharklets (9M-AJA)
